Exploration of inner Space

The yearning for union is as old as mankind. What Freud terms the "oceanic feeling", can, in yoga, find its representation in the desire to understand the interconnection of mind-body-emotions. 

In this sequenced class we explore inner space. As the word tantra derives from the Sanskrit root tan – meaning to stretch, span or expand. This word is also the root of the Latin tendere - from which we take words such as tend, attend, intend, extend and tone. A string can only vibrate and make a tone by being ‘stretched’, ‘extended’ or ‘spanned’ to a point of tension. It is through this inner tone that we learn to understand the essence of asana yoga practice. Not as a preparatory practice to transcendence or exiting of the body, but more a realization that the power of the cosmos lies within each atom of our being. 

This class will be a journey into the self. Our practice combines purifying pranayama and kriya with asana and meditation techniques. The effects of the practice are intended to open a window into self reflection for each yogini or yogi.  

The class will be dynamic and demanding. All with a solid foundation in asana practice are welcome. 

Strong breathwork – please come on an empty stomach.

Introduction to Mindfulness

Tuesday 7h30-9h00 pm, from Februar 25 - June 23, 2020

Costs: CHF 500 for 15 Sessions.

This course will introduce you to a range of mindfulness practices, so called "skillful means". It consists of 15 sessions of approx. 90 minutes. Each sessions consists of a mindful movement practice, a tiny bit of theory, each time a new mindfulness practice, as well as reflection on the topic of the session. You will be invited to practice the weekly practice at home between the sessions with the help of audio recordings. If you miss a session you will receive the recording and some theory input by email.
The number of participants is limited to 10 persons. The course will be in English or German depending on Participants.


Introduction to Mindfulness, Weekend Workshop

Saturday March 21 and Sunday March 22, 2020 from 9am-5pm

This course will introduce you to 8 mindfulness practices, so called "skillful means". After the weekend you will receive an audio recording of the practice every week for eight weeks as well as a tiny "homework" to help you integrate the practices into your daily life. In the week of April 21st there will be a zoom call to answer questions and conclude the course.
The number of participants is limited to 10 persons. The course will be in English or German depending on Participants.
